This art gallery was formed in 1950 and is known for showing contemporary works by local artists and encouraging new talents into the art world. It’s a small gallery, but the exhibits change on a regular basis and so there’s a fresh feel to the works. The gallery is often overlooked by visitors to the city, but is worth a visit which is unlikely to take more than around thirty minutes.
There is an admission charge of 5zl for adults and 3zl for concessions, with free entry on Tuesdays and Sundays. The gallery is closed on Mondays, but is open from 12.00 until 20.00 on Tuesdays and from 11.00 until 18.00 on Wednesdays to Sundays.
