There isn’t much to see at this site now, but it’s the former location of the transit camp operated by the Nazis between 1940 and its liquidation in July 1943. The aim was for the site, known locally as Szmalcówka, to act as a relocation camp and around 10,000 to 20,000 people went through the camp during its period of operation. Most were sent on to concentration camps and when it closed in July 1943, the surviving victims were sent to Potulice resettlement camp.

The area is always freely accessible.
